Cinematic rock jam
Просмотров 182 года назад
I had a week on holiday without guitar. I return, turn on elevated guitar tracks deep cinematic backing track and this is what happened. Very inspiring thanks @elevatedjamtracks
In praise of the Thr5. Why did I wait so long to try one of these out?

First impression of the Yamaha thr5. In my opinion these little things are the best practice amplifiers ever. Recorded on my Samsung galaxy tablet apologies for the sound quality. It sounds awesome in the room. Hopefully that comes through .

Mid week blues with the Prs John Mayer Silver Sky
How do you tune those
The tuners are on the bridge
You put the tuner up your bum & it magically tunes the guitar. But it has to be deep. Like colon deep
@@user-mn3vt2sl1m toxicity I love it brother
@@Rebelcowboy2 I know
Looking at buying one of these used. I'd have preferred direct out with no mic simulation or a switch to turn it on and off.
Love DP15 neck pickup but pairing it with Seymour Duncan Quarter Pounder Bridge in a 1 piece Mahogany Telecaster With Arm Relief, Tummy Cut and neck contour, using a Locke Custom Neck, Birdeyes maple/ebony fretboard. Wolfgang neck profile debating tuners as waiting for Montys DP15 to arrive
Never seen it don't this way. I just mic my cab and connect the mic to the interface
That's great if you have a space to record a mic'd cab. Not everyone does.
You need a cab … kinda sounds mid
do you like the spark booster or the pickup booster better?
I wanna ask if you are able to connect it to the thr editor on the computer, edit the sound, save it to the amp and have it saved so when you unplug it, the sound doesnt change
Nice
That's not a vfx problem. Earlier in the episode they mention that Marcus Miles has an invisible car. Now when the shootout happens Marcus Miles presumably escapes in his invisible car.
sir the neck profile is chunky or slim
I have that same Firebird shirt lol
Hi! Do you still have it? Still love it? I'm looking into getting a purple one from Andertons
Haha loved the moment someone threw a shirt into the room
I think it would be better doing something like: guitar > amp > send from the effects loop > cab IR pedal > interface. Or something similar like that, because this thing needs some form of speaker emulation.
There's a cabsim built-in to the headphone jack
@@cobrakill4636 That’s what he was using in the video, and it didn’t sound particularly good directly. That’s why I’m saying about it.
Just bought one, and sent it through some good headphones. I'm not very impressed at all. Maybe I just need time to figure it out, but good headphone tone doesn't seem to leap out at you, even with the cab sim.
what kind of mod`s didi you do? sounds versitile to me
Cool vid! Just jammin it out. Love that color on the tele, but I'm partial to the green.
I got a set of the DP51's for my thinline telecaster. They are just sublime... this tone you have here is fantastic.
Hi is this still the DP51's in the Chapman?
Yes
Nice . Ive pre ordered my first chapman Ive gone for the ML3 Traditional . Cheers for comparing the two
I have this guitar in sea foam Green,,,, love it, thanks for sharing man
This comparison video is what I was after …. I’m pondering on a purchase of a chapman guitar, and this particular one is top of the list at present …cheers bud . 👍🏻
Great cover !
Great
Hope to see more video
Thanks for the review
Nice playing!
Thank you
ML3 3:51 tele 4:14 This video and other videos of the ML3 all suggest to me that it really doesn't sound that much like a real tele. It's a bassier, fatter, jazzier tone but it doesn't have quite the same cluckiness or sweetness that a tele has. Some people say that a Tele is halfway between a strat and an LP but the ML3 sounds a lot more like an LP to me.
Bang on! You have put it alot better than I could.
Does it come with hard case? Or even a gigbag? Everywhere I’ve seen it for sale say it doesn’t come with a case at all?! (Like andertons thomann guitaguitar)
No case at all unfortunately
@@darkstar01010england ah that’s so weird it doesn’t come with one at all, thank you for letting me know, I think I’m still gonna get it
@@lottie9831 It's a shame for sure. Hardcases aren't that expensive.
@@darkstar01010england yea you’re right, I will try buy one that’ll work for it
Yep. This is a bad idea. Theres more needed to get a better sound. Maybe mixing it at all might help. But its still to highhh on hz naturally and thats not good on your interface
There is nothing here that's bad for your interface. It's a perfectly fine line-level sound that any interface is designed to capture. And it's not a terrible idea, it just needs a cab IR. Which is normal for any DI application.
How is the build quality? Any QC issues?
Build quality is good. Action is a little higher than I'm used to but that can be easily adjusted.
Cool vid mate. I've just got a ML3 traditional myself but was a little disappointed with the neck. It said roasted maple but mine doesn't really match the colour.
Thanks. I had a similar problem with a ibanez az .
@@darkstar01010england Does your Chapman match up?
@@serpentor21 if you mean the baked maple neck fretboard and neck. The fretboard is slightly lighter than the back. But very slight. The fretboard has a mineral grain or natural mark aswell which is unique. If you are not happy with yours Andertons are good with returns. I've only had good experiences in the past. Sorry, I'm presuming you bought it from Andertons as I haven't seen them elsewhere
@@darkstar01010england Yer dude the fretboard and neck. Mine is a really light colour which i wasn't expecting. On Andertons and Guitar Guitar website it says roasted maple and all the videos the neck is really dark neck.
@@serpentor21 unfortunately at the moment there seems to be lots of variation amongst manufacturers and roasted maple process. I prefer to view before buying. This guitar i ordered without viewing which is just the luck of the draw. I was lucky.
Good stuff. Just ordered one a couple of hours ago!
Thanks I've done a comparison video as well comparing these Seymour Duncan pickups to vmod pickups
not sure if anyone gives a shit but if you are stoned like me atm then you can stream all the latest movies on instaflixxer. I've been streaming with my girlfriend during the lockdown =)
@Reyansh Devin definitely, been watching on InstaFlixxer for months myself :)
@Reyansh Devin Definitely, have been using InstaFlixxer for since november myself :D
Nice! ⚡ Also you're cute/handsome 😶
cool
Cool Man ! Keep it up !
Nice! Where did you the pickguard? Looks stunning in stead of the original black;-)
Northwest Guitars Ltd
If I direct recording from headphone jack, do i still need to plug the speaker output to a cab? I have asked a store which sell this amp, they said even you plug the headphone jack, the speaker output still need plug to a cab because there is electricity on it or you may broke the amp. Is it true?
Well it survived another 3 years fine. I don't recommend running it as a headphone amplifier it was very harsh. Black Star plugamp is much better for headphones
What if i plug from speaker out thought cab sim or di box to the soundcard?
@@anggapratama5204 sorry can't help you. I don't have it anymore.
No prob bro, appreciate it! Thx 🤘🏻
It is solid state not a valve power amp.
Play with your volume knob rather than your coil tap and amp. ✌ If you don't notice the difference there change the vol. pot out to a better one.
Finally found the clean demo. Not very clean, but clearly usable. Thanks
Thanks. Built in cab sim is very bad, I guess in headphones it is very harsh and piercing sounding.
old video, but, is it a jackson SDX Made in India?
Whack it straight into a decent desk first.
personally this setup need an OD in front of the amp.. honestly the builtin cab sim could b better.. and a DI box in between the amp and interface.. personal opinion
Where would you put the di if there was no line out but an fx loop?
I had the Orange Cr12 which is supposed to have the same feature via the headphones jack and couldn't get a signal coming in... I asked around and was told to try a TRS cable from the amp into the interface, also I only had the Scarlett solo, can someone please explain to me what was happening? Because I used it with my headphones and they worked.... Thanks!
wow,.. second review to hear that the podxt live sucks in sound . Is it really that bad? maybe people don't use it properly?
That Jazz Clean tone Chorus Shimmer is incredible even by 2019 standards!
What are the amp settings?
muddy as hellllllll
Uh is the amp head hooked into a cab or load box? If not, dude you are going to destroy your equipment. Also, you should use a cab sim in your daw so it doesn't sou d like fuzzy shit
ProjectAwesome1 The Orange Micro’s are a hybrid amp with a valve pre-amp a solid state power-amp so a speaker load isn’t necessary. You could use these amps without even having access to a speaker cab. Nothing will be destroyed.
Ryan Wilson yeah I found out shortly after I meade this comment. Fuckin sweet man. Though, I do still highly suggest to pop on a cab sim
@@Citizen_J The point is that it's supposed to have a cab sim built in... Key word "supposed"
This was excactly what I was looking for. Cheers!
